Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha, better known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is an internationally renowned British stage and film actress which gained fame when her role in the "Doctor Who' (a British science-fiction TV show) series aired on the BBC channel. Gugu earned a significant amount of fame by appearing as Tish Jones, the daughter of the main character, Martha Jones, in the television series. Her fans loved her cheerful enthusiasm and she had there was no turning back for Gugu to have a successful acting career! Chelsea Joy Handler is a New Jersey native born in Livingston on February 25, 1975. Her family included six of them including Chelsea Joy Handler being the youngest. Handler's father was a used car dealer, and her mother was a homemaker. Her mother is a German that immigrated to United States from Germany in 1958. Her diagnosis was cancer of breasts in 1989. She passed away after fighting cancer for ten years. Handler's father was Jewish and she was brought up in Reform Judaism. Handler was raised in a safe neighborhood and enjoyed her childhood. When she was in her early 20s she moved to Los Angeles in order to take on acting. Handler began her career as an actress in order to support her. At age 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy as a full-time profession because she realized her story telling skills. Handler began her career in the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly which was a reality program with an in-camera hidden camera and a practical joke. Between 2002 and 2005, it was on air. Handler began appearing in different shows like Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started her career as a journalist on The Tonight Show. Handler got her big break after 2006 when she began running her own talk show for E! known as The Chelsea Handler show. The Chelsea Show lasted for 2 seasons. In the following year, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO have been able to broadcast her stand-up comic performances. In 2010 she was informed that she was to host the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. By doing this, she was the only female host ever to do so, after Roseanne.
