Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first trial she took the sport, she finished 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to an official contract for Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m. In 2007, she defended the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her competitions.
